  • UPDATE: DROMORE ROAD - The ECC is urging the Town to follow NYS law and temporarily, at least, block multi-family development.
    • E-Mail dialogue between Greenburgh Supevisor Paul Feiner and ECC President Geoff Loftus.
  • NEW DATE: Next ECC Board Meeting Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, 8PM.   Edgemont residents are invited to attend the ECC's monthly meeting in the Faculty Lounge EHS. At the January 9th meeting:
    • The ECC calls on Edgemonters to form a committee to take the issue of incorporation to the next step.
    • Report from the ECC's committee on a possible Edgemont village.
    • Minutes from the November & December 2011 meetings.
  • UPDATE: Cell-Phone Antennas and Edgemont   Edgemont residents heard what may be very good news at an open meeting at EHS on January 5.
    • The ECC submits an amendment to the Town's Antenna law, calling for notification of an application to go out earlier and to more people. Town Supervisor Paul Feiner supports the amendment.
    • Edgemont's Michelle McNally calls for Town to remand the antenna application to the Antenna Review Board, and Supervisor Feiner agrees.
    • Notes from the January 5 meeting, including an overview of the current situation, as well as a legal and historical review.
    • The "Antenna Correspondence" — All of the e-mails between Mr. Feiner and ECC President Geoff Loftus regarding antennas.

The Edgemont Community Council (ECC) was founded in 1947 to

  • Determine community opinion on civic matters,
  • Coordinate community action thereon, and
  • Plan and promote the general welfare of the Edgemont community (the area embraced by Union Free School District #6, commonly known as the Edgemont School District).
